The President of 1031 Alternatives Group, C. Grant Conness began his career in the birthplace of Tenant In Common (Co-ownership of Real Estate) Industry in Southern California as the industry was in its infancy stages at the turn of the century. Mr. Conness is an active member of the Real Estate Investment Securities Association (REISA – formally known as TICA) where he serves on the legislative & regulatory committee. He is also an affiliate CCIM member.

As an advocate and respected authority on 1031 exchanges, Mr. Conness educates investors as well as the real estate community through his various seminars and public speaking engagements and is an approved course instructor with the Florida Bar on 1031 Exchange Investment Strategies. Mr. Conness has been quoted in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Commercial Property News, Realtor Magazine, Commercial Investment Real Estate Magazine and Real Estate Media’s – TIC Monthly. During his tenure, Mr. Conness has been successful in assisting in the acquisition of over $100 million of institutional quality real estate on behalf of affluent real property owners and 1031 exchange investors throughout the U.S. In 2007, Mr. Conness was one of four registered representatives nationally nominated to the Tenant In Common Association’s (TICA) (known as REISA) “A Champion of Excellence” (ACE) Awards. The ACE Awards recognize TICA members who exemplify the vision of TICA and its Code of Ethics. They are leaders in the industry that set their personal standards high, mentor others, push for industry improvement and volunteer their time for the benefit of the industry and members of TICA. Mr. Conness and 1031 Alternatives Group are committed to assisting clients achieve their goals and objectives by presenting them with innovative real estate investment solutions.

ACE Award Qualifications

Nomination for someone other than yourself

Minimum of 24 accumulative TIC transactions in 3 years or 10 million equity over 3 years

Minimum of 3 years in business, beginning January 1, 2004

Must be compliant with the TICA Code of Ethics

Must be a current dues-paying member of TICA

Must have attended one TICA Conference AND must attend the 2007 Annual Conference
